This is the book that made me fall in love with Seth and his ways. I wrote my own little book of notes while reading it.

This book blew me away. Excellent resource for entrepreneuers, or would-be entrepreneuers.
Seth Godin: Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable
Excellent book for any business trying to figure out how to get ahead. This might be Seth's most successful (remarkable?) idea. A must read.
Ben McConnell and Jackie Huba: Creating Customer Evangelists: How Loyal Customers Become a Volunteer Sales Force
My favorite business book ever.
Malcolm Gladwell: The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference
Every bit as good as the hype. Fascinating read about how ideas spread and how you can best spread yours.
Tom Peters: Re-imagine!
This is not a book for wimps. I still haven't taken it all in. It's densely packed with jewels, nuggets and mind blowing material. Feels like reading an encyclopedia that you can't live without.
Seth Godin: All Marketers Are Liars : The Power of Telling Authentic Stories in a Low-Trust World
Another great book from Seth. This one got me thinking about how I present my business, and how others want to perceive me. It gave me some great ideas. The "liar" metaphor was too much of a stretch IMO (it was done to grab attention but he had to spend too much time saying "no, not really liars") but the counsel is rock solid.

Well excellent, looks like they are making it a full blown series.

And Alton Brown as commentator -- woohoo!
Makes me want to start an Iron Chef America: Alton Brown's comments blog.

I'm not as excited about the Iron Chefs themselves as I could be, but
I guess they'll do.

Batali (snore, but skillful.)
Flay (jerkwad, hyper annoying, must he get any more attention?)
Morimoto (exotic and easily upset enough to be fun, but hasn't he had this gig already?)

My picks would have been:

Tyler Florence - am I the only one that thinks he's the best chef on the network? He's got marginal social and screen skills, but mad cooking skillz. This guy is just good.

Jamie Oliver - I know it's Iron Chef America but he lives here now, so I say it counts. (If Morimoto counts...) And who doesn't love his style? And he knows his stuff. This guy is just plain awesome.

Sara Moulton - We need a female iron chef! And who better, she's got the skills, and her personality, wisdom and experience would be a calming offset to the other young 'uns. Seeing her pull it off without the Morimoto-esque sweating and hyperventilating would be fun.

Oliver, Tyler, and Alton are GREAT! FYI they have books at William/Sonoma Riverpark Square...

and what is up with Emeril? He's Deep frying and butter basting everything these days (sold out?)

I'm so happy they're doing the show, and I'm happy to see Rick Bayless as one of the challengers (I'd like to see him replace FLAY!).

I'd also like a female Iron Chef, and Sara Moulton is a good choice, since she worked with Julia Child as well. The chef from Kitchen Accomplished might be a good choice as well.

I enjoy Batali, I think he's got some really high levels of cultural ability. And I adore Alton Brown!!!!

Um...Bobby Flay is hot. Y'all are just JEALOUS and you know it. I would drop everything and see him sweat and slave in a kitchen any second of the day...
