Super Bowl advertising - smart?

FWIW : I think it's a huge waste of money, especially for the no-namers. $2-4million could be spent so much more effectively it's not funny.

Why the Super Bowl? They have their reasons

The dot-com Super Bowl — 5 years later

I think at some level though,  they spend the money because they can. Like buying a 1956 Ferrari 860 Monza. Its a mix of ego, showing off, and status.

P.S. if anyone reading this blog has $2-4 million they'd like to blow on something astronomically more effective than a super-bowl ad -- do drop me a line.

WOW that's amazing! I had no idea all those guys went belly up. I totally agree there's got to be a better way! I thought www.superbowlloans.com was really smart - they have a deal where if you buy one of the items at thier store and take a picture of yourself at the big game you they'll send you $25 bucks! Since the hat I bought was like $15 I made $5 dollars going to Super Bowl ha!
