Google Web Accelerator wreaking havoc

As a follow up to my previous rant...
It has begun.
And don't get me going on how annoying it can be as a web developer to have visitors to your site see old data because Google hasn't fetched it yet. There is a hint in this article about how to tell Google to get bent - but it's still too hard. We need a robots.txt-type solution. Dang you Google!
And another thing! (Raised in the comments on that post) How is this going to impact web analytics software? If it's Google feeding them the page, how will the publisher know they've got a hit? This is really starting to chafe.
Update: More nightmares - Google Web Accelerator can let others see your logged-in pages.
