At 4:45am the line at Circuit City was 500ft long. And sure enough, by the time I got to the GBAs, they were out.
So I raced to Target, which opens at 6:00. At 5:15 the line was only 30ft long. I was sure I'd get one there. I stood out in the freezing rain and shivered and told all my line-mates they were lunatics for 45 min.
The doors opened, I rushed in with the rest of the loonies, straight to the GBAs. The nice Target lady informed me "we didn't get them in."
I had half a mind to fly into a bait-and-switch tirade, but it was too early, there were already too many cranky gluttons and there was still Wal-Mart.
Only Wal-Mart opened at 5:00, so sure enough, they were out too.
Bah.
I was in line at Toys r us, and they were to open at 6:00 and they opened at actually 5:30, so, I was in and out before they were even suppose to open, off to Home Depot, got their last drill. And then continued my rest of my shopping.
I was very able to get what I wanted, very different circumstances. . . sorry yours wasn't as good.
